Rm89 is more than just another betting platform. We were built specifically for Malaysians — with a deep understanding of local tastes, language needs, and the unique sporting culture of the Malaysian community.
Rm89 started from a simple vision — to build a betting platform that truly understands Malaysian users. Our founders, a group of software engineers and local sports enthusiasts, noticed that most international platforms at the time failed to cater to the specific needs of Malaysian players. Awkward interfaces, complicated payment methods, and slow customer support left many Malaysians feeling undervalued as users.
And so in 2019, rm89 was born. The name RM89 itself was inspired by the Malaysian ringgit — the currency closest to everyday Malaysian life. This is more than just a name; it reflects our commitment that every transaction, every win, and every experience on this platform will always be centred on the Malaysian user.
In the five years since its founding, rm89 has grown into one of Malaysia's most trusted betting platforms. From a small team of 12, we now operate with over 400 staff across technology, operations, customer support, and risk management. Our registered member count has surpassed 500,000 — and that number keeps growing every day.
What sets rm89 apart isn't just the technology or the range of games. It's how we treat every member — like a trusted neighbour, not just another account number. When you reach out to rm89 customer support, you'll be greeted by agents who speak fluent Malaysian and understand the local context. When you place a sports bet, you get odds calculated fairly with transparent margins. And when you win, your winnings are processed and credited quickly without any unnecessary hassle.
Rm89 takes data security and user privacy seriously. All personal information and financial data of members are protected with industry-standard 256-bit SSL encryption. Our 24/7 monitoring system ensures any suspicious activity is detected and addressed immediately. We comply with international security standards and undergo independent audits regularly to maintain the integrity of the platform.
To every rm89 member, new or long-standing — thank you for being part of our journey. Every bet you place, every win you celebrate, and every piece of feedback you share helps us improve. rm89 will continue to evolve, innovate, and most importantly — keep serving you.
